Going on Vacation!
We are off in the morning for a week long vacation in the Outer Banks! Being that we are geeks, we’re taking our laptop with us. But I’m not sure how much time I’ll have for creating goodies… hopefully I’ll have some fresh ideas when I get home!. I’m sure I’ll have a ton of new things to scrap for myself, too… especially since our brand new camera just arrived on Wednesday! Can’t wait to play…
Hope you have a wonderful week! See you when I get back!

Polls and Such
I took down the seasonal poll for now. I had a sneaking suspicion that the approach of Fall might be coloring your answers. I’ll bring that poll back again another time.
For now, I’d like to know if you subscribe to this blog or not. And if there’s a certain subscription service you like, please let me know what it is so I can add it for you. I was just curious about all this…
Thanks for voting! And if you want to leave a comment about the poll, feel free to do so here.
Pondering
Answer me this: Why would I not allow people to commercially* use my digital designs? It’s something I’ve put in my own Terms of Use without really understanding why. I’d like to know why so many people state that you can’t use their things in a “Scrap for Hire” job.
* to me, the word “commercially” implies using my designs to create new design of your own (ie., paper, ribbons, making things to sell, etc.), which in the digital world is known more often as “do not claim as your own.” Everywhere else I’ve seen the word “commercially” it will typically mean “using my item in your business” (like with some free fonts, etc., you can’t use them unless you’ve payed for them). So, prohibiting “commercial use” somehow means you can’t scrap for other people without my express permission and/or paying me… ?
I don’t get it. Why is this the case? Someone please enlighten me!
