Creative Monday
Welcome to Creative Monday!
Well, you might have seen the little Twitter update I posted (over there on the sidebar) that said, “I just added three more CT to my team. Yes, I am insane!” But I think it was a good decision. LOL! We can all use a little more beauty in our lives, right? And these girls were all waiting so patiently.
So, to start us off this week, here is a layout from our new guest, Krista! She used a mix of A Little Birdie and Plumberry Teacakes goodies, along with some papers from the Leap Frog freebie for this darling layout:
And before we move on, I wanted to take a minute to ask you to check out Krista’s lovely gallery. She has adorable kids and a real sense for composition, but yet she has very little love left on her layouts. Will you take a minute to look at her gallery and leave a comment or two? She’ll probably be embarrassed that I asked, but hey… I think it’s a shame that we sometimes HAVE to play a praise game to ever get noticed, but some sites are so busy that it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle. Thanks for reading my silly little plea! Can you tell I love to leave praise? I do!
Okay! Back to business. Here is a classy layout from Tracy, using Flirty Skirty with some beautifully recolored flowers in magenta! I loved them so much, that she sent them to me to play with! Wasn’t that sweet?
Here is a fantastic layout from Sya, using Twitter Blossoms. This girl has such an eye for composition! I love the mix of circles and shapes in her layout:
And here’s a stunning layout from Danielle, also using Twitter Blossoms. I just love the realism she added to the edges of the paper!
And here is a gorgeous layout from Kate that just goes to show that with a little thought you can use one kit for any type of layout. Here is a page she made with wedding pictures using Confetti & Candy (which I always thought of as a “birthday kit”). So lovely:
Just a reminder: Confetti & Candy is being retired and it’s currently 50% off until the end of the month! After that, it will be gone forever, along with these kits as well:
Fashion Candy – Petits Fours – Confetti & Candy
Sorbet Kisses – Little Veranda – Summer Sorbet
Oh, and don’t forget to take a minute to click on these great layouts and leave these girls some love, too. They are so inspiring to me! I know that I’m learning how to be a better scrapper from looking at all their lovely designs day by day.
Whew! This post is getting long… Hee hee! And there’s more!
I actually scrapped last night! I was amazed. I’ve felt so busy and dizzy lately that it was great to feel like I could take the time to slow down have a little fun. See, I was the recipient of a RAK at DST for the Pass the Torch game they are playing to celebrate DST’s Birthday. I was given a gift card to W&W, so of course I RAN over and got myself the beautiful embellishment pack from Gina Marie’s Delightful Collection. And then I had to play! Here’s my layout:
And there’s a little sneaky peek here for you… because the paper is from a set that’s in my August Grab Bag that’s coming soon! Thursday, in fact… Yippee!
Well, enjoy Day Three of Party Hat! And I’ll see you back here tomorrow for Day Four! YAY!
Happy scrapping!
