Just a note…
As you may know, I’ve been a little out of it lately with bouts of awful morning sickness and getting ready to move at the end of this month. Well, yesterday morning we woke up to find that my 2 year old son got a hold of my purse (which was up on the washer!) and ate some of the medications I had in there for breakfast. It’s wasn’t too terrible–about 5 or so Claritin, one chewed up blister pack of Primatine and about 15 green tea mints (which probably contained caffeine). But we still rushed him off to the ER to make sure that he wasn’t in danger. He only acted a little loopy and a bit sleepy, so they let us go after a few hours.
We are very thankful that it wasn’t worse! And we’re now locking that little sneaky little stinker in his room at night with a baby gate across the door. He woke us up early this morning calling, “Daddy… let me go, Daddy!” Ha ha! Fat chance, Buster!
So anyway–that’s what I’ve been up to and why you haven’t heard from me! I’m off to pick the winners from this weekend’s giveaways. Sorry for the delay! Also, stay tuned later this afternoon for a fun tutorial from Kristie! You’re going to love it!
Happy scrapping!

Nicole, what a scare!! I’m so glad it was nothing serious at all.
I’ve seen a few gallery LOs with A Golden Afternoon so now I’m even more curious to see it!
What an awful, scary ordeal! I’m glad he’s okay. We are about to move our toddler to a toddler bed and will definitely be locking him in his room.
Glad Joshua is OK! I was getting really worried about you, so thanks for checking in:) All the best with your move and hope you get over that all-day sickness soon! Just keep grazing… it’s the only thing that helps even though its the last thing you want to do… Hang in there!
Oh goodness!! Dakota did that to me about 3 weeks ago.. got into my Allegra (allergy meds) and had about 10… it made her a little sick and very loopy… little stinkers!! Good luck with the Morning Sickness… That is so uncomfortable. hopefully it will let up for you soon!
Hope your morning sickness goes away soon!
As for the little one – my son has been locked in his room since he was 18 months and started crawling out of the crib. we moved him to a big bed and have to lock the door. At first, we had one of those door knob covers but he learned to hold onto it and walk up the door and it would POP off… so we had to get a real lock. He also escapes our house – found him once around the corner… so we have deadbolts that take keys only (which scares me in case of fire). He also goes thru our doggie door so the backyard has been Dylan proofed also… some kids are super active and into everything. As for meds, we bought a locked metal cabinet at Ikea and have it hanging behind our bed door. Good luck!
So scary! Glad the little one is doing OK.
Hope you’re feeling better soon!!
Oh Nicole, I am so happy your little boy is ok! We had to start locking Chloe (2 and a half) in her room at night when she hit 18 months because she would get out of her room and wander around the house getting into WAY too much trouble. I hope the morning sickness gets better soon. I had to keep crackers by the bed and eat a few every morning before getting up or else it was not pretty, lol. Hang in there girl! The next few months will be better than ever!

Sorry about the morning-all-day-sickness…. Chewing on dried ginger seemed to help me a bit… =)

Man….glad to hear it was just a close call & all ended well! That’s scary stuff! Kids can certainly find danger in the blink of an eye! Hope things start settling down for you & yours soon!
I would love to know who the winner was? Always so secrative on this blog, we never get to know the winners!!!
omigosh!!! I am so glad your son is okay. What a scare…!
I hope you’re morning sickness is getting better! I, too, was going to ask if the winners were going to be announced, but then I read the post above….as you may recall, I am very new to the digi-scrap world. So I wasn’t sure if you announced who won or not. The above comment answered my question!
I think your new kit is the absolute best fall kit I have seen. Your designs are clean, classy and soooooo yummy!!
Take care,
Candi
Yes, I usually just contact the winners privately thought e-mail. There were 2 winners for the gift certificate giveaway and 6 winners for the kit. It’s not as easy to announce winners here as it is at DST where everyone has a unique user name. LOL!
