The Sugarplum Recipe Challenge

January 30, 2009 | Filed Under Challenges, Give Aways, Layouts | 8 Comments

Hello all – Niki here (aka bexy) doing my first blog challenge!! I hope everyone has had a great week!! Mine was busy, busy, but lots of fun! Now this week we’re going to do a ‘recipe’ challenge. That means that I’m going to give you all a list of ‘ingredients’ to play with so you can make your own delicious custom creation! The recipe is as follows:

  • take 3  papers
  • add 2 photos
  • mix in one trim (ribbon, string, lace, etc.)
  • sprinkle on 4 elements (hearts, flowers, brads, frames, you name it)
  • and top off with some personalized journaling!

Here’s one from me…I used the NEW Strawberry Au Lait kit, Tough Stuff mini, Calico Harvest, and First Kiss of Spring on my layout:

There you have it!! Easy peasy… and have fun with this!!!

Please use mostly Sugarplum goodies on your layout. You can find Nicole’s stuff at the Sugarplum Paperie shop and at The DigiChick. Nicole has had TONS of freebies, so don’t feel like you can’t play because you haven’t been able to shop.

Upload your layout to any gallery you want, and leave a link to your layout in the comments section of this post. You have until Thursday, February 6th to complete the challenge and one lucky person will win a $5.00 gift certificate to the Sugarplum Paperie shop!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!!

And I’d also like to announce last week’s winner: Congratulations to Sharyn!

Creative Monday

Welcome to another new week! Wow… my weekend went fast! I took a break from e-mail the whole weekend and now that Monday is here, I’m not so sure that was the best idea—my Monday has been crazy! I’m certainly ready to look at a little creative beauty, are you?

Here are some beautiful layouts that the girls created last week! First, here are three from Denise, Christine and Bexy, each using a piece from the new Project 365, Part 2 embellishment pack (just click to enlarge these layouts):

Gorgeous! They do such beautiful work! Be sure to click on their names to go to their galleries to leave them a little love. It means so much!

Well, I’ve been doing a pretty good job of keeping up with my own Project 365. I’ve just been really bad about getting the photos out of the camera lately! But I’ll have to get to work on that because I have to update my avatar—this weekend I got a hair cut and dyed my hair a crazy shade of red (pink? coral? cherry? I’m not sure what to call it yet!). I’m still trying to work with arranging my hair to look the way I think it should… and take a good picture with all the icky clouds that make it so dark everyday! Anyway, once I get a good snapshot, I’ll be sure to post about it for you on my other blog.

As always, happy scrapping!
