Two Dollar Tuesday!

My good friend Monica (of mgl Scraps) was feeling creative and bored. A good combination for me, it turns out! She took at few of my Sweet & Simple Templates together with my two “Strawberry” kits, and made me a lovely set of Quick Pages!

Here are the Strawberry au Lait QPs, made from pieces of the Strawberry au Lait kit:

And here are the Strawberry Café QPs, made from pieces of the Strawberry Café kit:

And both sets are only $2.00 today for “Two Dollar Tuesday!” I hope you enjoy them!

Happy Monday! It’s a pretty one here in Central Ohio. Little birdies are singing and there’s sunshine streaming in the window. Ah! I just love Spring!

I have some beautiful and inspiring stuff to show you today! The girls have been in the mood for red it seems. They’ve been playing a lot with the new Strawberry Café kit. Here are three gorgeous layouts from Brenda, Crystal and Brenda again (just click to enlarge):

Also the girls have discovered that Strawberry Café looks beautiful with pieces from Hopelessly Devoted, too! Here are some Hopelessly Devoted layouts from Brenda, Denise and busy bee Brenda:

And be sure to stop by the blog tomorrow! I’ll have a little something new to show you—and a special little sale to go along with it.

Until then, happy scrapping!

Blog Challenge: Scraplift With a Twist

March 27, 2009 | Filed Under Challenges, Layouts | 3 Comments

Howdy everyone! It’s Leslie here with this week’s blog challenge. When I sat down to think about what kind of challenge I wanted to do, it hit me that it had been awhile since we’d done a lift. With that in mind, I knew exactly where I was headed. This time around we are going to be lifting Denise (neeceebee).  I’ve been a fan of hers for quite some time now and I think it’s only fair to expose the rest of you to this super talented lady! Take some time to peruse her gallery. I promise you won’t be disappointed. She has so many awesome pages to choose from and the decision was tough, but I finally settled on this one to use for the challenge.

Her use of paper blocks and simple elements just make this layout a standout. Now as you can tell, Denise created this with a Christmas theme in mind, but I can’ t wait to see all the different ways you take this.

I just had to try my hand at this and here is what I came up with.

Please use mostly Sugarplum Paperie products in your LOs. Nicole has a massive amount of freebies right here on the blog and awesome goodies at her own shop and TDC.

This challenge will run from 03/27-04/02. To play along with the challenge, don’t forget to link us up in the comment section. Thanks for playing along with us here at Sugarplum!

I wanted to show you something really cool today! One of my talented creative team members, Julie, was making some beautiful hybrid layouts when she decided to also make a little video tutorial to go along with a post for her blog readers!

Here’s her video! Check it out:

And here’s her beautiful layout that she made with this technique:

Welcome to another edition of Creative Monday! I have some really beautiful layouts and hybrid goodies to show you today. Let’s get started with some new Strawberry Café pretties, shall we?

First, here is a gorgeous layout from Jen using the new kit:

And here are three more lovely layouts from Bexy, Amy and Leslie (just click to enlarge):

And here is a darling hybrid box and mini album from Sharon:

And Jill made a beautiful hybrid layout using pieces from Strawberry Café, too:

And speaking of hybrid goodness…

strawberry-boxKristy’s awesome little Strawberry Box that she made with Strawberry Café is being featured today on The Hybrid Chick blog!

You can learn all about how she made this cute little box so that you can make it for yourself, too. That’s what The Hybrid Chick is all about! If you haven’t been by to check out what the talented girls on the Hybrid Team at the Digichick are doing over there on the new blog, be sure to stop by because it’s just amazing. There are lots of tutorials with photographs and illustrations, plus articles to help those who are complete “newbies” to the hybrid world. You are sure to be inspired!

I also have some lovely layouts to show you today that were made with the In the Meadow collab! Here are three beauties from Jenny, Amy and Jen:

I love how they all use the same kit, but each page is so different: one is a heritage page, one is a bright and fun girlie page and one is a guy page!

Here’s another lovely layout from Amy (recolored a bit to match her photo):

And here is a beautiful layout from Denise, using the Twitter Blossoms kit. I think she captured one of the ideas I had for this kit as I was making it—she used the flowers here to make her own patterned papers!

And one last idea for you today from Elaine!

pocket_kidsMake yourself a wallet-sized piece of digi scrap art to show off your little sweeties (and your scrap addicition, too)! How cute is that? Have you ever found yourself saying “Um, have you heard of ‘digital scrapbooking’?” and then grinning a little, hoping the other person doesn’t think you are a weirdo because they have no idea what you’re talking about? Or is that just me? LOL! Anyway, when you keep some scraps close at hand, you’ll always have a way to show them just what you mean (and you know you’ll make a convert out of your friend, too!).

Well, that’s all for today! Hope today is a good start to a lovely week!

Happy scrapping!
