Howdy everyone! It’s Leslie here with this week’s blog challenge. When I sat down to think about what kind of challenge I wanted to do, it hit me that it had been awhile since we’d done a lift. With that in mind, I knew exactly where I was headed. This time around we are going to be lifting Denise (neeceebee). I’ve been a fan of hers for quite some time now and I think it’s only fair to expose the rest of you to this super talented lady! Take some time to peruse her gallery. I promise you won’t be disappointed. She has so many awesome pages to choose from and the decision was tough, but I finally settled on this one to use for the challenge.

Her use of paper blocks and simple elements just make this layout a standout. Now as you can tell, Denise created this with a Christmas theme in mind, but I can’ t wait to see all the different ways you take this.

I just had to try my hand at this and here is what I came up with.

Please use mostly Sugarplum Paperie products in your LOs. Nicole has a massive amount of freebies right here on the blog and awesome goodies at her own shop and TDC.

This challenge will run from 03/27-04/02. To play along with the challenge, don’t forget to link us up in the comment section. Thanks for playing along with us here at Sugarplum!

What I would like for you to do is take this beautiful photo and make a layout based on what it inspires you to do. You can choose the colors as your inspiration or the shapes and position of the windmill to inspire your page.

Let your imagination run with your layout! Have fun.

Hi everyone! Amy (amymom24) here bringing you this week’s challenge: a Monochromatic Colour Challenge! No that is not a typo, this is really how we spell “colour” up here in Canada

The rules are simple: pick a colour and try to use only that colour on your layout. If necessary, you can use a related colour (in the same colour family), and/or neutral colours like black, white or brown. Easy peasy!

If you have an element you’d like to use, but it isn’t the colour that you picked for this layout, you can easily recolour it. There are lots of great tutorials for recolouring in your specific program, just google for them! Here are a couple links for Photoshop/Photoshop Elements to help you get started:

By Emily Giovanni for her personal blog

By Alice for the Weeds & Wildflowers blog – this is for Photoshop, but also works in Photoshop Elements, and she has a PSP tip in the comments section as well.

By Tee for the Weeds & Wildflowers forum

Here is an example to get your creative juices flowing. I used a good mix of Nicole’s stuff, most of it recoloured to fit my green theme. You can view the credits here.

Please use mostly Sugarplum goodies. You can find Nicole’s stuff at the Sugarplum Paperie shop and at The DigiChick. Nicole has had TONS of freebies, so don’t feel like you can’t play because you haven’t been able to shop.

Upload your layout to any gallery you want, and leave a link to your layout in the comments section of this post. You have until Thursday, March 5th to complete the challenge and you could win a $5.00 gift certificate to the Sugarplum Paperie shop!

I can’t wait to see your take on this challenge! Now go have fun!

Hey everyone! Crystal here bringing you this week’s blog challenge!

I am feeling pretty lovey-dovey with Valentine’s day being tomorrow, so this week’s challenge is going to be focused on that. The rules are pretty easy. I want you to use the word “love” in your title and I want you to use a mix of fonts and alphas to highlight it. Just to give you a good idea of what I mean, here is my example layout using the new Hopelessly Devoted collab:.

Hi, it’s Sharon (aka skyezak) here hosting this week’s Sugarplum Challenge!

I have dealt with some major family issues over the past couple of years and I’ve felt at times like I was never going to get out of the hole that I seemed to be falling deeper into. So many things kept cropping up around me and one thing just compounded another but being the start of a new year, I thought it no better than to take stock of my life and where I want to be and how I want to live it. I always have put myself on the backburner and focused on my kids and family first as many Mums do. I’ve certainly let my health deteriorate and social activities dwindle unless it involved chatting to my cyber-buddies into the wee hours of the morning. This year I am turning 40, but I mostly feel like I’m going on 50, so my challenge this week is to think of YOU, focus on YOU and scrap about what YOU want to achieve in life. Whether that be a short-term goal or something that might take much longer to reach for or even just some things about YOU that you want to record for you only.

I have always had trouble managing my weight and when I’m stressed or unhappy about life or not coping well with being a single stay at home Mum, I tend to turn to food as my comfort. And having a sedentry hobby such as scrapbooking, I don’t tend to do much activity — um, that includes housework if I can scrap instead! I also have two toddlers under 6, so my wakeup call had to come sooner rather than later if I want to enjoy the fun times with my boys before that precious time just passes me by. I find it much easier to journal from my heart about the things that impact me greatly in life even though they may be the sad or hard-hitting things that I have experienced, but as the saying goes, all of this does make us stronger.

And here’s a layout from Kiki:

So have a little think about where you want to go this year, what you want to achieve and scrap about it for your chance to win a GC to the fab Sugarplum store! Please use mostly Sugarplum goodies on your layout. You can find Nicole’s stuff at the Sugarplum Paperie shop and at The DigiChick. Nicole has had TONS of freebies, so don’t feel like you can’t play because you haven’t been able to shop. And our winner will be announced here next Friday on the blog.

Thanks for playing along and have a fantastic week!

ps. congratulations to last week’s winner: Jennifer!

Hope you all had a great week, I’m just glad that Friday is finally here! LOL! This is my first post here. I’m Raji (my username is rsk everywhere) and I’m a guest CTM for Nicole this month. I’m so excited to bring you this week’s challenge.

Are you doing Project 365? I am and I’m really excited about it. I’m not sure if I can keep up, but I’m going to try!! I started a blog for this, but soon realized that I’m only stressing out by trying to post there every day. I just decided to scrap one page per week.

This week’s challenge, should you accept it, is to scrap a Project 365 page. It could be a page summarizing your week or a page with photos from one day. If you are not doing the project 365, your challenge is to scrap something with a number, like a 2nd birthday or 10 random facts about you or just anything with numbers.

Here are a few layouts from Denise and from Sharon for your inspiration:

And here is my layout using the new Project 365 embellishments:

Please use mostly Sugarplum goodies on your layout. You can find Nicole’s stuff at the Sugarplum Paperie shop and at The DigiChick. Nicole has had TONS of freebies, so don’t feel like you can’t play because you haven’t been able to shop.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!!

Also, let me announce last week’s winner. It is Cristina again because she was the only one to play along with last week’s challenge. Congratulations to you! You can see her pretty layout here.

Jill here again! The challenge for this week is a sort of mini Project 365. So even if you’re not officially participating in this latest hot topic, this will still be something you can do! And if you are attempting to record a piece of everyday this year this can work for you, too!

The idea of the challenge is to record a daily routine. For my page I took a picture of a typical breakfast sense at our house, lunch and again for dinner:

Now it is your turn to give it a try… take some pictures and create a page all about your routines! The challenge is open until next Friday, January 23rd. I’m excited to see what everyone creates!

Leave a comment with a link to your daily routine layout. Then next week a random winner will be select to receive a $5 gift certificate to Sugarplum Paperie. Please use mostly Sugarplum goodies. You can find Nicole’s stuff at the Sugarplum Paperie shop and at The DigiChick. Nicole has had TONS of freebies, so don’t feel like you can’t play because you haven’t been able to shop. Remember, come back before next Friday (1/23)!

Also, I’d like to announce last week’s winner: Cristina! Congratulations to you!
