Hello all! Happy Wednesday to you!
There’s a new kit in the Sugarplum shop called Plumberry Teacakes:

I hope you like it! There are some really pretty two-toned papers in this kit, which are hard to show off well in a preview. Here’s a sneak peak of my favorite paper:

And I have a little freebie for you, too–something I created for this kit and then wondered if it really went with the collection after all. So, I thought I’d give it to you and let you put it to good use either way.
Word art stickers are getting quite popular, so I played around a little and came up with these:

Enjoy!
And as always, happy scrapping!
Hello to the Future! I’m writing to you from the past! What am I talking about?! Let me explain…
This is one of the reasons that I just love using WordPress! You see, I wrote this post for you yesterday morning because I wanted to let you know about lots of fun stuff, even though right now I’m currently relaxing at home without my laptop. I need some time away from the computer to reorganize my life and rethink my priorities, you know what I mean? Having my husband literally take the computer away from the house is the only way for me to get that done—Ha!
So, I’m taking a break from the computer, at least for the weekend. If you have any customer service issues with the shop, I will help you with them as soon as I am able to! I didn’t want to walk away from things without giving you a heads up.
In other news, I have some fun things to share with you today! First of all, my weekly freebie template is now available at the Shanty blog! Here’s the template:

This week I plan to give away a $5 gift card if we have more than six people play along with us. For all the details, see the thread here: Scraplift Conversion - May 23rd.
And I also wanted to let you know about a free mini kit I designed for my Squidoo lens on Digital Scrapbook Freebies! I figured, if the lens is about freebies, why not put a freebie on the lens? Brilliant! Don’t know why I didn’t think of that sooner… Ha! Here’s a preview of the kit, Vintage Garden:

Feel free to stop by the lens to download the kit–no registration required; no strings attached! It’s just a link. So, enjoy the kit! And feel free to upload any of your layouts to my Sugarplum Sunshine Gallery! I’d love to see what you create.
Until next time, happy scrapping!

I’ve saved these frames as .pngs and as an .abr brush set so that you can either use them as is or easily change their color (when used as a brush). (FYI: I changed the blending mode to Overlay for my layout.)
Here you are! Enjoy:

DETAILS:
Contains three word art frames
300 dpi, saved as .png and .abr files
Drop shadow for illustration only
Approx. 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 inches in diameter (shown here @ 15%)
Happy scrapping!

Enjoy! And most of all, HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!
Even though I design digital creations, when I scrap for myself I mainly scrap with paper. And seeing that I know all the advantages that there are to digital scrapping, my layouts are usually hybrid layouts.
I’ve written two articles in the last two days on the subject and I wanted to share them with you! The first is an article on the Craft Critique blog. It’s mainly a review of my favorite little pair of scissors, called Paper Snips (more commonly known as Cutter Bees). I wrote about how I can’t do hybrid layouts and other paper projects without them! You can check it out here: Craft Crititque - Cutter Bee Scissors.
The other article I wrote was for the Shanty blog on the topic of using digital designs on your paper layouts. Be sure to check it out, too: The Shanty - Hybrid Scrapbooking.
And when you go there, you’ll also find this freebie that I designed:

Just stop by the Shanty blog to pick it up! I’d love to see what you do with this, either in paper or in pixels.
Enjoy! And happy scrapping!
