Sugarplum Paperie

I forgot to post about this last week, so you’re in for a double treat this week!

Here is last week’s template. I just LOVE this one. Lots of possibilities…

Template #8

And here is this week’s template. Love the scalloped mat!

Template #9

Just stop by the Shanty blog to pick them up! And I hope you’ll play along with us, too. I always love to see your creations!

Happy scrapping!

There’s a new embellishment pack in the Sugarplum Shop! It’s a collection of Monograms with pre-shadowed clusters:

Monograms, Vol. 1

The collection contains three sets of monogram letters in pink, blue and plain paper, along with six clusters of fun embellishments with flowers, butterflies and ribbons or stars, notepapers and silver accents. “Fun for a girl or a boy!”

Each cluster comes separate so that you can add it where ever you think it looks best! Here’s a layout that I made using the monogram set, along with some things from the new Plumberry Teacakes kit:

Date Night

As you can see, because the clusters come separate from the letters, you are able to use them any way you like to! I layered my photo and frame in between the letter “N” and the flower cluster. I could even use the flower or star clusters by themselves. It’s so easy to simply open one of them up and drag it on to my layout—it’s all ready to go!

I hope you enjoy playing with these fun pieces! And be on the lookout for a second set of monograms early next week!

Also, I’ll be back later this afternoon with another Shanty template to share with you… but I need to make it first—Ha!

Happy scrapping!

Hello all! Happy Wednesday to you!

There’s a new kit in the Sugarplum shop called Plumberry Teacakes:

Plumberry Teacakes

I hope you like it! There are some really pretty two-toned papers in this kit, which are hard to show off well in a preview. Here’s a sneak peak of my favorite paper:

Plumberry Paper

And I have a little freebie for you, too–something I created for this kit and then wondered if it really went with the collection after all. So, I thought I’d give it to you and let you put it to good use either way.

Word art stickers are getting quite popular, so I played around a little and came up with these:

Plumberry Wordart

Enjoy!

And as always, happy scrapping!

Creative Monday

Hello all! I’m back with another installment of Creative Monday! Boy, I’ve missed this. I just love to show off the beautiful layouts from my wonderful team! So let’s get to it!

First, we have this beautiful layout from Sya, using Flirty Skirty. I love how simple, yet stunning this is! Perfect simplicity…

And here is a stunning layout from ‘Nett (she won a few Gallery Standout nominations for this one!), also using Flirty Skirty:

Love you Forever

And here is a simply gorgeous layout from Kristin, using the freebie mini kit, Vintage Garden, available here on my Digital Freebies lens. I love all the layering she placed behind the photo. And what a photo!

And here’s a precious layout from Crystal, using China Blue and last week’s template freebie from the Shanty blog. Just look at this little guy’s face! Too cute!

And finally, here is yet another stunning creation from Tigz! I just LOVE how she seamlessly combined Flitry Skirty and China Blue to create this lovely page:

Love you Forever

I hope you are inspired by these beauties! They are each so lovely! Be sure to click on each layout and leave these girls some love, okay?

Well, I’m off to get back to work on a little something for you… yes–a freebie. Maybe even a new kit, too! Can’t wait to show you. I need to think of some more little finishing touches to add.

Until then, happy scrapping!

Hello to the Future! I’m writing to you from the past! What am I talking about?! Let me explain…

This is one of the reasons that I just love using WordPress! You see, I wrote this post for you yesterday morning because I wanted to let you know about lots of fun stuff, even though right now I’m currently relaxing at home without my laptop. I need some time away from the computer to reorganize my life and rethink my priorities, you know what I mean? Having my husband literally take the computer away from the house is the only way for me to get that done—Ha!

So, I’m taking a break from the computer, at least for the weekend. If you have any customer service issues with the shop, I will help you with them as soon as I am able to! I didn’t want to walk away from things without giving you a heads up.

In other news, I have some fun things to share with you today! First of all, my weekly freebie template is now available at the Shanty blog! Here’s the template:

This week I plan to give away a $5 gift card if we have more than six people play along with us. For all the details, see the thread here: Scraplift Conversion - May 23rd.

And I also wanted to let you know about a free mini kit I designed for my Squidoo lens on Digital Scrapbook Freebies! I figured, if the lens is about freebies, why not put a freebie on the lens? Brilliant! Don’t know why I didn’t think of that sooner… Ha! Here’s a preview of the kit, Vintage Garden:

Vintage Garden

Feel free to stop by the lens to download the kit–no registration required; no strings attached! It’s just a link. So, enjoy the kit! And feel free to upload any of your layouts to my Sugarplum Sunshine Gallery! I’d love to see what you create.

Until next time, happy scrapping!

Just stop by the blog to pick it up! And happy scrapping!

Gift for a Friend

I wanted to let you know about a special kit at Scrap Orchard! Have you heard about it?

Gift for a Friend

I have to tell you a little of the back story first… The Sunshine Girls have this tradition of celebrating one another’s birthdays by collecting up some cash and buying something nice for the birthday girl (you may have seen what they got me on my other blog). Well, it was Shauna’s birthday and we were thinking up ideas for her when something tragic happened to a friend of hers. I’ll let her tell you more about it in her own words:

Sincerely touched… the only two words that can describe how I felt when I received this gift from some of my dearest friends in this designing community, The Sunshine Girls. The gift came in response to a request that I had for my birthday. Instead of a gift card for some digi goodies, I asked my dear friends to contribute to a small fund that I had started for a friend of mine. A friend who had recently lost her dh to the war in Iraq. it wasn’t the first first friend that my husband and I have lost to this war, unfortunately it will in all likelihood not be the last. But each time we lose a friend we try and support the family as best we can, and I thought it the least that I could do to send her a small something from me and my dear friends.

In response to my request, not only did these wonderful designers send me my gift to forward on to my friend, they also surprised me with this GORGEOUS kit to sell and to raise even more money for her and her children. Sincerely touched…and why I named the kit what I did… a gift FROM friends, to support and give a gift to another friend, isn’t that what it’s all about?

I wanted to give you a little peak at this kit and encourage you to head over to Scrap Orchard to pick it up. Here are the pretty papers:

Gift for a Friend

And the elements:

And these Flergalious Quick Pages:

Gift for a Friend

Here is a lovely layout, created by Livia who’s one of the Sunshine Sweeties, using of one my papers and flowers from Gift for a Friend:

I hope that this kit will bring much joy to many lives…

Happy scrapping!

Word Art Frames

I made a little something for you today! It’s a trio of “word art” frames. I’m sure you talented people will come up with all sorts of creative ways to put these to use. Here’s my little attempt:

Bring Joy

(Click for credits.)

I’ve saved these frames as .pngs and as an .abr brush set so that you can either use them as is or easily change their color (when used as a brush). (FYI: I changed the blending mode to Overlay for my layout.)

Here you are! Enjoy:

Creative Monday

What a crazy Monday at my house! My mother-in-law came to visit today (along with my SIL and my BIL and his fiancée, too). We had a nice time catching up. So, I was “stuck in real life” today… that’s why it’s after 6:00 and I’m just getting to this! It’s my favorite post of the week, so let’s get right to it…

First, here is a soft and sweet layout from Katie, using Strawberry Café:

Dream

And here is a beautiful layout from Amy, using a mix of A Mother’s Love and Sorbet Kisses:

Flower Girl

And then here is a great layout with such a wonderful message from Tigz using the new Flirty Skirty kit:

Believe in Them

Here is a simple yet stunning layout from Sya, also using Flirty Skirty:

Precious

And finally, here is a beautiful layout from Jeannette, using a mix of Grasshopper Kisses and Film Noir:

One Year

Such lovely work! I’m so blessed to have such a great team! Be sure to leave these girls some love for all their beautiful work.

Well, I’m off to make dinner! Hope you all have a wonderful evening. And, as always I wish you “happy scrapping!”
